This book is amazing! I started reading this book just before my exams started and I read part 1 and then didn't get chance to carry on with it until about a month later when my exams had finished. I reminded myself what happened in the first section and carried on with the rest of the book. It was that good that I ended up reading part 2 and 3 in 2 days.
The book starts with a boy called Quentin, from Orlando, Florida (I've always wanted to go to Florida, especially Orlando). He talks about this girl, Margo, who he was friends with when they were little and they went through some stuff together (you have to read the book to find out what, I don't want to give it away) and then now how they are totally different people. They are both in their last year of high school and Quentin is surprised when one night Margo climbs through his window and invites him on a prank/revenge/adventure spree. This is a total surprise to Quentin but he agrees to go anyway. They do the most craziest things and it would be so fun to do them in real life. So the next day Quentin expects to see Margo at school but she doesn't turn up. Quentin then makes it his mission to find where Margo is following the number of un-obvious clues she has left for him. The quest to find mysterious Margo means Quentin must sacrifice graduation, his perfect attendance report, prom and even friendship. Does this story have it's happy ending? Will Quentin ever find Margo?
You MUST read this book to find out. I could tell you way more about it but I think that I will give away too much. I bought Paper Towns at the same time I bought The Fault In Our Stars and Looking For Alaska. I hadn't heard about Paper Towns but because it was 3 for 2 at the time I just picked it up and read the blurb and thought it sounded alright. I read The Fault In Our Stars and Looking For Alaska and they were amazing as I expected, then when I read Paper Towns I had totally underestimated it and I was so glad that I had picked it up because it's just as good as The Fault In Our Stars and Looking Fir Alaska (I guess I had judged a book by its cover :/). The thing I liked about it the most was the way John Green wrote the book. Every singe part of the book is extremely well thought and I would definitely not be able to think of something so detailed. For example Margo leaves clues for Quentin to follow and they are so complicated but fit well together and its just like, you cant stop reading in case you miss something out.
I definitely think if you've read The Fault In Our Stars and Looking For Alaska you should read Paper Towns because it' amazing and deserves just as much attention as TFIOS and LFA gets.
Also I saw this alternative book cover and the girl on the front must be Margo but it's not how I expected her to look. I like imaging how the characters look because not everyone imagines them to look the same which is cool.
Comment if you have read Paper Towns and what you think about it :-)
